Chloride-induced corrosion of reinforcement is one of the major causes of deterioration leading to a reduced service life of reinforced concrete structures in marine environments. Based on theoretical analysis, experimental investigation and numerical simulation, the durability of concrete port structures exposed to marine environments are studied in this paper. The main task of this paper includes:1. The situation of the research of the concrete port structures' durability is summarized here.2. Several problems of the concrete erosion by chloride ion in marine environments have been studied in this paper, which includes the chloride ion's ingression in concrete, the erosion mechanics of chloride ion's and the chloride ion's diffusion model.3. The effect of concrete carbonization degrees on chloride diffusion coefficient has been analyzed by rapid carbonization test and rapid permeability test; the results have demonstrated the substantial benefits of reducing the chloride diffusion coefficient by concrete's carbonizing. This paper also introduced a method of using pH device to measure the pH of different carbonization degree concrete, and offered the changes of the pH.4. Numerical simulation about the chloride ion's diffusion in concrete has been carried out. The chloride ion's diffusion in concrete in marine environments follows Fick's second law. A thermal model of 2D FLAC is used to simulate the chloride ion's diffusion in carbonized concrete and un-carbonized concrete, because they have the same control equation. Each parameter's correspondence rule is also explained in the paper. The calculation results demonstrate that the FLAC model can well simulated the chloride ion's diffusion in concrete, show the chloride ion's concentration difference between the two samples. According to the calculation... | | Keywords/Search Tags: | concrete port structures, durability, reinforcement corrosion, chloride ion, difussion, Fick's second law | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
