The working performance of engine is greatly influenced by the quality of its valves. Valves of traditional heat-resisting steel often result in accidents such as corrosion, burning through, peeling off and head breaking off during engine running. Therefore, in order to accelerate the seriating of national valve-designated steel, selecting new heat-resisting steel and studying the strength and toughness of valves is significant and valuable in application.Study of strength and toughness of valves of 2Cr21Ni12N heat-resisting steel (21-12N for short) solution treated and aged in varied temperatures within normal and high temperature separately referred firstly in the paper shows the relationship between strength and toughness (tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, reduction of area and impact value) and its process factors of valve steel of 16V240ZJ engine, providing a sound theoretical support for heat treat processor of valves, guiding effectively to reduce the loss due to improper heat treatment during its manufacturing process.Moreover, analyses of the differences of 21-12N steel...
