With the development of electric power industry and many towns, the power system structure of our country can not supply enough power for our country's economic development. According to the plan of State Grid, it will be an arduous task to build HV, extra HV and ultra HV projects. Inevitably, the high voltage substations along with the high voltage transmission lines will emerge in the residential area. The electromagnetic affection to the neighborhood residents, which are generated by the transmission and transform equipments, has brought the attention to many departments. So, it is necessary to analyze the power frequency electric and magnetic field around high voltage overhead lines and substations. In addition, State Grid promotes the typical design of transmission and distribution projects which are constructed and operated in normative way.
