Ultra-filtration (UF) as a new and high efficiency separation technology, has been applied widely in water treatment, for its advantages of low operating pressure, energy saving, easy running, and bacteria cut-off. In this experiment an integrative UF filtration apparatus is designed which uses the Inside-out hollow fiber ultra-filtration membranes and is suitable for the decentralized water purification, and the performance of apparatus on purification of surface water is studiedThe treating process comprises of coagulation and ultra-filtration. It compares the coagulation efficiency of Ferric Chloride, Poly-Aluminum Chloride and Poly Silicon Iron and their effects on the filtration process. By adjusting operational condition, and optimizing operating parameters, it achieves stable operation of water purification apparatus. By measuring water quality indexes of raw water and UF filtrate, we evaluate the apparatus removal efficiency of pollutants in surface water.The experiment results show that: coagulation before filtration has a good effect on lowering down membrane fouling; the apparatus uses compressed air as backwash dynamical source which makes it economical and integrative; by properly adjusting the air pressure(0.160MPa),backwashing time(30s),flush time (40s),flushing flow(6.5m3/h),the pollutants on the membrane surface can be removed...
