The Application Of Hilbert-Huang Transform For Vibration Evaluation In Hydroelectric Generator Set

The operation of hydroelectric generator set requests high quality of reability, safty and stability. Stability is a very important index to evaluate the generator set working performance, which is appraised majorly by the measurement of generator set vibration level. Therefore, began with the vibration, the dissertation, which aims at the hydroelectric generator set characteristic, adopts the Hilbert-Huang Transform to analyze the reason of hydroelectric generator set vibration. Then the final purpose is to evaluate the generator set vibration state.Based on the current situation in the monitoring and signal processing of hydroelectric generator set home and abroad, the article discusses the methods and main points of hydroelectric generator set vibration evaluation. Then it analyzes briefly the vibration characteristics and fault character of the hydroelectirc generator set. The following are introduction of Hilbert-Huang Transform theory and the flow chart of this method. After these,it mainly discusses some kinds of typical issue of Hilbert-Huang Transform, which are the instance,such as, End Effects Issue, Selection of seperating ending conditon, methods of solving partial mean, and so on, then improves on these problems and compiles procedures. The simulation examples are performed individually. In the end, the Daxia Hydroelectric Station generator set 2# is been performed vibration tests and analysed. Adopted the Hilbert-Huang Transform Method, the writer analyzes each part vibration sigmals of the set 2# start-up process, shut-down process, and steady state process.
