| This thesis describes a six degrees of freedom mathematical model of the ship manoeuvring motion based on the horizontal body axes system, which was developed by Hamamoto in 1993, then carries out a simulation research of the ship manoeuvring motion with the use of MATLAB to program and plot, and an SIMULINK integrated software package for dynamic system simulation. Because of time urgent , my level limited and encountereing the difficulties when carring out the simulation research of the ship manoeuvring motion, so this thesis is just successful in a simulating the turning motion about the four degrees of freedom model, finally analyses the safety of the ship turning motion in winds and waves. When establishing the mathematical model, the following factors have been considered: the forces and moments acted on ship's hull, propeller, rudder and interaction, fully taking the couple motion of MMG ship's motion on water surface with three degrees of freedom, rolling motion, pitching motion and heaving motion, and considering the interference forces and moments of winds and waves, and combining ship's maneuvering and seakeeping in winds and waves. When carring out the simulation research of the ship manoeuvring motion, this thesis just simulates the turning motion about the four degrees of freedom model. The results show this model has a agreement with actual request, analysing the results in different conditions as follows:When the ship turning motion in winds and waves, the coupled actions of winds and waves have a great impact on turning trajectory and rolling angle, namely the requisite water area in turning around with the rudder and the maximal rolling angle. The results show that the greater the winds and waves are, the greater the influence is; the winds, waves from different direction cause different influention about turning motion, the... |
