With the general installation of the AIS in the ships, people pay more and more attention to the development of the AIS technology and its wide vista in the future application. The aims for the mount of AIS are for ship's automatic identification, assisting the tracking targets, reducing the voice reports, simplifying the information exchanging, and offering the additional information to help know the ship's transportation state. So far, as the supplement of the radar, the AIS are installed on more and more ships as an important tool of the navigation aiding. AIS can be used for anti-collision between ships and automatic information exchanging. However, for the small ships in the freshwater areas, the standard AIS has some problems in outlay and channel controlling and so on. For part of the coastal shore stations, they only need receive information of the AIS. Because of all the above reasons, this thesis analyzes how to design a simple AIS information receiver fitting the small ships and using in the AIS information collection coastal shore stations.On the bases of the AIS capacity standards and the analysis of its technical speciality, this paper designs the system according to the international standards of the ship's automatic identification system. This paper mainly analyzes the following parts. It designs the whole scheme of the AIS receiver system and illustrates the functions of the system and the design schemes of each part. It studies the GMSK Base Band signal modem technology and on the bases of the theory of GMSK modem, focuses on the demodulation of the GMSK Base Band signal and accomplishes the system emulation of the GMSK modem under the flat roof of System View. Moreover, it also puts the embedded technology into practical use of the AIS receiver scheme designing and uses ARM microprocessor as the kernel processor of the communication processing module, accomplishing the managing, decoding, transmitting and displaying of the information. And furthermore, pick up part of the dynamic and static information according to the need, send the data demodulated to the buffer of the ARM microprocessor and display it in LCD with the help of the MiniGUI graphic UI.This thesis makes an emulating analysis of the Base Band signal modulation and demodulation algorithm, and accomplishes the demodulated data's management,...
