During imaging operations, either the object motion or the camera movement causes disturbances, so, on the focal plane, object image moves during the exposure time, and the image quality usually becomes bad. Indemnifying measure should be brought forward in order to get high resolution image. As a necessary and key technique in modern imaging system, the technique of imaging stabilization develops very quickly, and is used more and more in many areas. However, the application of such technique is not mature enough. It also needs more deeply investigation. The research of this dissertation is in consideration of improving the image quality. Combine the advantage of the high speed CCD. Meanwhile, take the advantage of the real-time electronic image stabilization algorithm. And then, combine with the technique of high resolution micro-displacement. Thus, we can get stable image sequence with high resolution.With the application of this technique, the whole performance of the system improves very quickly, and the resolution also develops. The technique of real-time image stabilization is widely applied in many military fields, such as battlefield reconnaissance, target surveillance, early warning and monitoring by military satellite.The dissertation summarized the academic and experimental research on the image stabilization technique.First of all, we introduced the background of the technique, including the development status both at home and abroad, and then the content of the research is brought forward. We also discussed some basic methods, and compared their advantages and applied areas, so as to find out the useful algorithm and methods.Second, we introduced the fabrication of the whole hardware system, especially in the design of electric circuit and the micro-displacement platform.Third, in order to find out a proper method for this experiment, the methods of image quality evaluation were analyzed and compared. Then, the methods were proved by some experimental data.Fourth, we discussed the design about the software, including the SCM part, themajor software and the communication between them. Then, we used the whole system to take some pictures of the resolution testing board and some practicalities, and compared the stable pictures with the unstable pictures.Finally, we summarized the work which was done in this dissertation, and brought forward some error analysis. Then, the work that could be done in the future was put forward.
