The thesis analysed the faults of Pingdingshan Hongxiang 50MW cogeneration turbinegenerators excitation system,then found the problems which exsited in the DC exciter andself-shunt exciter excitation system.Aiming at the problems in excitation system,theprimaryreform scheme including its research and demonstration was put forward.Furthermore,theMatlab/Simulink software was used to simulate some typical operation case of excitingsystem,which verified the performance of the excitation system and its accessoryequipment,and further perfected the reform scheme. Against a 50 MW cogeneration turbinegenerator,the technological reform was carried out successfully and the correctness of thereformwasvalidatedsimultaneously.
