Spiral casing is the important flow part in the low specific speed centrifugal pump, and the casing design has an prodigious influence for the capabilities of the pump. This experiment utilized the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CDF) method to compare the capabilities of designed spiral casings. After synthetic comparing about a variety of CAD/CAM software, the CATIA with mighty curve creation power was chose as the three -dimension model plane, and the FLUENT of mighty CFD software was chose as the three -dimension Numerical Simulation plane, for the spiral casings. The experiment based on the recently published velocity-coefficient information about the designing of casing profiles. In order to convenient designing, there is a little change. Spiral casing, which were designed by this kinds of design method, were simulated and were numerical simulated through velocity-square conservation method at the same time. Comparing both of their inner flow velocity, height and pressure distribution to ensure the more applicable design; then to simulate them in variety work points and compare their height-flow curve-lines in variety cases.
