Based on summarizing recently researches, this dissertation discusses the CAE application in the BIW modeling and analysis, the main contents and conclusions are as following:(1) Simplifying principles and methods of ordinary characteristics in the BIW modeling are carefully researched and brought forward, the union of precision and efficiency is guaranteed.(2) In the development of modern automobiles, the car frame must satisfy the torsion rigidity, flexural rigidity, natural modal of the basic mechanics properties. Based on these, the evaluating index and methods of body stiffness are put forward. Then, the simulations of the key mechanics properties are practiced, and the results of simulation can be gotten. To validate the reliability of model, the stiffness and modal experiments of car frame are done.(3) In the ANSYS/ADAMS environment, the theories of Finite Element Method (FEM) and Multi-Body System (MBS) are integrated, Modal Neutral File (MNF) is created in ANSYS, then is exported to ADAMS to build and analyze full automobile multi-flex model. Practices prove that the results of rigid-flex coupled model of full automobile are more accordance with the facts and increase the exact degree of analysis.In conclusion, the researches of modeling and analysis of full automobiles are the necessary processes based on virtual prototyping; The CAE technique based on the theory of FEM and MBS Dynamics is the important method for the study of vehicle performance; the progressive method of test provides guarantee for the study of developing vehicle performance. With research and practice constantly, the study of BIW performance will contribute to the development of vehicle technique.This dissertation belongs to engineering application subject. It needs to be studied farther in the frame design and analysis. Those actions have a realistic meaning to improve design and analysis level.
