| As a new retaining system, soil-nailing support is one kind of economical, reliable technology and is convenient in construction. It has been widely used in deep excavation constructions of high-rise buildings in Hefei area in recent years. As Hefei is located in the area of watershed between the Yangtze River and the Huaihe River, expansive soil is distributed broadly. When excavation depth exceeds expansive soil depth in expansive soil distribution area, the distensibility and shrinkage of expansive soil will pose the direct threat to side slope (foundation pit) stability.Keeping the good relation of theories to realities, this dissertation focuses on the theoretical computation and practical construction of the soil-nailing support systems. This dissertation focuses on the practical application of the soil-nailing support in Hefei expansive soil area by two engineering cases. Practice shows that the soil-nailing support is used effectively in expansive soil area. The soil-nailing support maintains the original structure and the original stress state of the soil with its unique reinforcement mechanism, curbs the expansion potential of expansive soil effectively, and routinizes the design and construction. To make project management more scientific and rationalized, it is important. to implement the construction monitor and dynamic information management in excavation construction. |
