With the development of electric power system and the progress of agriculture and society in our country, the electric locomotive era has brought lots of convenience for us. For making the electric locomotive serve us better, we should analyse and discuss the security of the electric locomotive. It's known that the electric locomotive's energy is provided by catenary and the catenary carries about 25 thousands volts electricity and the high voltage and low voltage of the catenary are insulated by insulators and wire pole. For ensuring the security and steadiness of catenary, we must research the leakage current characteristic of the wire pole in order to avoid accidents.This system is designed under this background. This paper innovatedly combines the leakage current detecting of the wire pole with the wire pole supervision on line. This paper researches and discusses the hi-technology product which is congregated with the technology of high voltage , signal sensor , current shield, digital information processing, low power consumption , wireless communication and computer.For detailedly analysing the leakage current source of the wire pole, and detailedly researching the sensor production, and relatively experimenting and discussing the function realization of the software and hardware system and anti-jamming measurement, and analysing the datas, this paper has brought forward real time requirement and designed the relative project.With the development of technology, it requires higher accuracy and higher real time charater of the supervision system on line. So, supervision system on the basis of ARM chip can satisfy the requirement of modern supervision on line. In the future, system supervision on line will develop rapidly and will satisfy the need of the electric supervision system better.
