Concrete Filled Steel Tubular(CFST) structures has been applied in high-rise buildings increasingly in recent yeas because of its strong capacity and aseismic performance. However, much of the research on CFST to date has focused on the behaviors of single column and connections. In contrast, The research on CFST structure's aseismic performance is still scare.Based on the finite element theories , this thesis does a systematical research on the CFST frame-tube structure, Firstly, the model for finite element analysis was identified. Compared with the Reinforced Concrete frame-tube structure and steel frame-concrete core tnbe structure, modal analysis was conducted on the model to evaluate its natural vibration properties of global structure. Then, spectrum method and dynamic time history analysis was performed to assess the dynamic properties of the CFST frame-tube structure under slight earthquake. Considered the nonlinear factors of the structure , elasto-plastic seismic behavior in rare seism was studied in this thesis. Finally, design parameters which influence the mechanical properties of the structure were analyzed. The theoretical analysis demonstrates that there were unique advantages in seismic behaviors such as higher load bearing , deformation behavior, dissipated hysteric energy and so on.
