The research on the mechanical mechanism of soil and stress combined relationship of itself is an important topic in the mechanical field. Study on strength theory is of great significance in theoretical research and engineering application. Besides the analytic solution of strength theory has an explicit physical conception and a mathematical expression, it can also analyze the relations of variable and their influences on the result. So analytic solutions of strength theory have a very important significance in the engineering application. With the demand of value of the precision and the engineering construction, along with the perfect of the foundation bearing theory , it is paid more and more attention by the engineering field .Slip line theory is important part of rock soil mechanics and plastic mechanics , is a kind limit analysis method . This article is based on the thought of field that Y C. GAO professor created , according to the Mohr-Coulomb strength theory, carrying on the discussing research of the foundation bearing capacity. The formula of the dividing area solution under the condition of plane strain is deduced, by applying Mohr-Coulomb strength theory to analysis. By using it to the theory of ultimate equilibrium of plane strain, and by applying it to research on foundation bearing capacity, it can be popularized to existing methods. At the same time, in order to solve the continuous problem of boundary, the continuous condition of boundary is deduced. At last , advantages and disadvantages of two methods are compared.
