When studying the flowing properties of fluid, people already found these properties changes under different conditions, especially influenced by different liquid viscidity. Under the operating condition of large load, ultrahigh temperature and extremely high-speed, there will be great errors in the design result or even accident if the impact of liquid viscidity changes on component is neglected. Hydrostatic slip ring is often used in the high-speed operating condition. The temperature of oil film rises a lot at its sealed chink. Therefore it is necessary to make a research into the flowing properties of sealed chink fluid under the condition of viscidity, and to confirm its principles of structure design with consideration to viscidity change and inertia flows.Based on a lot of related literatures and reference materials both at home and aboard, this paper applies viscidity theory to hydrostatic slip ring. The formula of flowing properties of sealed chink fluid in hydrostatic slip ring under the condition of viscidity changes is suggested. With finite element method, numerical simulated analysis of the flow filed in the sealed chink is conducted. Detailed analysis of principles of the automatic adjustment of hydrostatic slip ringOn the basis of simplified models of hydrostatic slip ring and requirements of project cooperation, structure design principles are given with the help of viscidity theory. Ways of calculating the possible weight bear area, axial thickness can compensation structure are also provided. Theoretical calculation of the carrying capability and computational analysis of the hardness of the oil film in sealed chink of hydrostatic slip ring is carried on.A brief introduction to the finite element method is given in this paper. Based on the weight conversation law, energy conversation law and momentum conversation law, mathematical models and finite element models of hydrostatic slip ring on the theoretical basis of viscidity is obtained.Finally numerical simulation of the flowing field properties of oil film in sealed chink is conducted and details of the distribution of pressure field, temperature field, viscidity field and velocity field is obtained with finite element method, which is compared with the theoretical analysis results. The comparison shows a consistency between the theoretical and the simulated curve, which can prove that the calculation formula in this paper is correct and the structure design of hydrostatic slip ring can meet the requirement.
