Noise index was an important aspect in evaluating engine's performance.Analysis and control of engine noise has the significance.This paper analyzed main noise and reasons of engine,and adopted the theroy and measure of sound intensity, the project of sound intensity measurement has been established. In addition, the measurement of researching object has also been studied. This paper analyzed the results by means of I-deas and identified the main noise source of engine by nephogram of sound intensity. Then it also calculated exterior sound power and radiant sound power of engine.Take one front bracket of engine as an example, It established the solid model and finite element model of front bracket of engine, whose part of feature has been simplified in order to analyse the finite element model. 10mm and solid parabolic tetrahedron 10 nodes has been adopted to the front bracket of engine via constringent analyzing of the finite element model. Based on analysing modal of the front bracket using lanczos, modal parameter has been found. It has become an instruction for noise reduction.By changing and optimizing its framework of front bracket of engine, the model of front bracket of engine has been got. By contrasting models before and after optimization, it has been found that the rigidity was improved and followed that the radiant noise of front bracket was fell, which has become the foundation of the noise reduction of engine.
