With the constant enlargement of the basic civil engineering in our country, and more highways, bridges, houses and so on, need to be built on the soft ground. There are various methods for managing soft gound, and many methods have been widely used in engineering. Cemented soil mixing pile composite foundation is one of these methods. But the theory of the cemented soil mixing pile is trailed behind. This leads to the limitation of the development of the cemented soil mixing pile composite foundation, so it is important to investigate composite foundation theoretically. It has become a hard-of-hearing problem in civil engineering.In this paper, the static and dynamic characteristics of cemented clay are researched by GDS bi-direction dynamic triaxial system. The relationship of stress-strain of cemented clay is described by modified model of Duncan-Chang. By cyclic triaxial text, the influence of strain, confining pressure and replacement ratio on dynamic elastic modulus and damping ratio of cemented clay is analyzed. The finite element and ANSYS program on FEM are introduced, then how such factors as the stiffness of pile, the ratio of length of the pile and replacement ratio influence the settlement of the cemented soil pile composite foundation are analyzed. And the best length and the best replacement ratio and some meaningful conclusions are obtained. These conclucions can be applied for engineering practice. A field static load test of a engineering case is introduceded and the test results and the ANSYS FEM calculation results are compared. The results show the method proposed by this paper is feasible to predict the settlement of the cemented soil pile compound foundation.
