The bearingless permanent magnet slice motor is a new type of bearingless motors, The rotor is only actively controlled in two radial directions and rotation direction while the other three motions are passively levitated owing to the PM slice-rotor structure. Thanks to this special structure, the bearingless permanent magnet slice motors have wide applications in many fields, such as chemical industries, semiconductor industries, life medicine science , etc.. The research on bearingless slice motors has practical and far-reaching signification.The dissertation focuses on the bearingless permanent magnet slice motor including mathematics models, control strategy based on rotor flux field oriented, the design of power amplifier circuits and the interface circuits. The corresponding software based on TMS320LF2407A DSP of the control system has been developed. The main work is showed as follows:Firstly, the principle of producing suspension forces is analyzed and mathematics model of the radial forces is set up according to the special structure of the bearingless permanent magnet slice motor. The decouple control system of it has been designed using the vector control strategy based on rotor flux field oriented. The sketch of vector control system for the bearingless permanent magnet slice motor is presented.Secondly, the hardware control system has been developed.power amplifier circuits and interface circuits have been designed. The function of key circuits in power amplifier circuit have been simulated by PSPICE software and the circuits board has been manufactured.Thirdly, the digital control system of bearingless permanent magnet slice motor has been designed, the flowcharts and programing methods of every function module subprogram have been presented and the software has also been developed.Finally, the experiment rig has been developed and the performance of software and hardware has been researched. The debugging of the interface circuit for position sensor, sine wave transformations circuit has been accomplished. The whole circuit and DSP board are connected to be debugged. As the experiment results, the software and hardware system have good performance, and they content the requirements not only for bearingless PM motor, but also for bearingless permanent magnet slice motor.
