The paper emphasizes on putting forward a new method of volume calculation of soil expelled in correcting buildings. Meanwhile, it gives a whole study on quantity and velocity of restoration for leaning structure. The diameter and distribution of drawing holes in soil and monitoring are also investigated in correcting buildings with drawing out superficial soil.Micro-steel pipe pile is characterized by small size as well as light weight. Easy to penetrate through the overlying strata and be jacked indoors, it has been vastly used in underpinning of buildings in Southwest China, where the ground is largely covered by relatively soft soil. Mostly the pile was anchor jacked, which would not work in harder soil in Sichuan area. Hence, micro-steel pipe piles are hammer blown in the case of rectifying the deviation of the building by expelling earth in the shallow layer beneath the foundation. The paper concludes the ultimate vertical bearing capacity of micro-steel pipe pile in the certain ground through high stain and static compression test. Finally, it put on a practice of correcting the tilting building with drawing out soil based on the underpinning by micro-steel pipe piles. The implementation of underpinning and the correcting the tilting building is a success both technically and economically.
