At present we use computer monitoring system in big or mediumhydropower plants at large in our country. But because small hydropower plants have somecharacteristics, for example local signals are simple, economic condition is limit, the computermonitoringsystemofhydropowerplanthasitsparticularity.Taking liushidaogou hydropower plant in LaiYuan as object, this paper analyses thedevelopment of structure mode of computer monitoring system, the Local Control Unit(LCU)aswellascommunicationsystem,consideringthecoursecharacteristicofsmallhydropowerplants.This thesis studies basic demands, configuration and realizable methods etc for computermonitoringsystemofsmallhydropowerplant.Thispaperdemonstrates thecomputermonitoringsystemandconfigurationofliushidaogouhydropower plant. Plant Network adopts rapid Ethernet with the speed of 100Mbps,the paperdevelops a set of software in use of Pcpower about main control computer which is fit for andcomputer monitoring system of the small hydropower plant, and which have suchcharacterizations, such as advanced and useful, simply manipulating and control, good interfacebetween man and computer. This software designs the functions according the module, which iseasy to be maintained, and has basic consolidate interface style. An advanced technique andproduction in the field of industry control, that is PCC, is introduced in the hydropower plant.The functional level of this system is much more clear and the reliability and real time is better.In this paper, the general design of this system is depicted generally. including the selection ofcontrol structure and control mode, the design requirement of LCU and realization of function.Subsequently,thedesignofhardwareandelectricaldrawingsbasedonPCCisexplainedindetail.The design of software based on PCC is introduced in detail, which deals with thecommunication program.
