In this paper, the front header of horizontal liquid-solid circulating fluidized bed heat exchanger has been reformed which add import and back plate, in order to enhance heat transfer, prevent and remove foulings. The law about distribution and movement of particles has been obtained by using the CCD image collected and analyzed system in this experiment. The influence of the angle of the back plate and operational parameters on the performance of particle distribution has been studied. Experimental data has been visualized by using Matlab language and Origin software. Experimental results show that the angle of back plate and the pattern of charge-in, the specific flux, the diameter and density of the particle all have effect on the performance of particle distribution. Before the front header reformed, the distribution of particle in the pipe bundle was very non-homogeneous. After the front header added import and the back plate, the non-homogeneous in the pipe bundle has been induced with increasing the flux. The best angle which made the better distribution has been obtained. The better diameter and density of the particle which made the horizontal liquid-solid circulating fluidized bed particle distribution better has been gained. In the last, the correlations between the uneven degree of particle distribution and the angle parameters of the back palate and operational parameters have been induced by setting up linearity regression model, which can be applied to engineering.
