Since the year of t989, Beijing Electron Positron Collider and BeijingSpectrometer have worked in the energy range of 2-5Gev. Significant resultshave been achieved and reported, including the precise measurement of mass oft. Now, we are developing BEPCâ…¡and BESâ…¢to learn more about theconstruction of elemental particles and interactions among them.Beijing Electron-Positron Colliderâ…¡(BEPCâ…¡) is in process of upgrade andalteration, which adopts most advanced double ring cross collision technology.Namely, a new deposited ring adds to the deposited ring in existence, theluminosity of upgrade will advance about two amount than at present. And thatmakes electron and positron accelerate to 1.55-1.89GeV in straight line segment.Frequently, it brings on beam loss in the beam tube because of not goodfocus.The thesis introduces a new monitor for inspecting beam loss throughdetection of Cherenkov emission in optical fibers. It is provided with useconvenience, running stabilization, security and so on. At the same time we dothe simulation of Cerenkov in the quartz optical fibers and the research onmixing uniformity.At last, test of photo diodes is an important part of quality control ofBESâ…¢calorimeter. This thesis has introduced some methods and experience ofhow to test PD performance.
