Pile-web composite foundation (also called Geosynthetic-Reinforced Pile-Supported embankment)which is a method to improve deep deposite of soft organic soils, has been used broadly recently years. The method is employed in the aspect of high way embankment, rail way embankment, civil engineering. By the monitoring datas, the method take effect well, and has many advantages, such as constructec quickly, small interruption to surroundongs, small difference settlement.Although the method take a good effect, it's theory for design drop behind its practice.1. The ancestors' findings on the method are summarized. From the point of the geogrid reinforcement and soil arching between piles, the mechanism of the method is summed up.2. FLAC(2d) was used model a selected projection and the results macth the monitoring datas well .the results show that the tension of geogird are large at the edge of pile cap and lowest between piles.3. FLAC also was employed to simulate a bridge embankment on deep mixed columns.the resultes meet the monitoring datas well. Also the strength reduction method was used to analyze the stability of bridge embankment over deep mixed column.4. The design method of Geosynthetic-Reinforced Pile-Supported embankment are summed up, also a practical projection was presented, finally a table attached.5. For the site of high embankment, small settlement and weak foundation, precasted pile with pile cap should be selected to support embankment. PCC pile with cap is better to be used, for it's a big diameter.6. High stiffness pile work well, but cost too much. For the site of small settlement , high embankment, low stiffness pile should be used.
