Simulating the real structure experiment using computers has two effects. One is thatmore samples with different parameters can be designed and then people can understandthe character of the structure more deeply. The other is that experimental cost includinghuman,material and financial resources can be saved greatly. As a result, the engineeringstructure experiment becomes cheaper, which greatly helps the structure design.In this dissertation, two sorts of shear wall structures-low braced and middle highbraced shear wall are numerically experimented by using the advanced concrete simulationmethods provided by the finite element software ADINA. The main experimental objectiveis bearing capacity,damping and dissipative capacity,hysteresis loop of the structure. Indetail, main works include:1. The idea of the replacement of simulation test for real structure experiment isprovided. The background of this idea and its current research situation especiallyin civil engineering is described.2. The application of statistical experiment method in all industries is intruduced, itsbasic principle and methods are disscused.3. The statistical experimental method and the engineering structure experiment arecombined to be applied into the design of simulation experiment.4. The simulation sample parameters are choosen by using statistical method, somepractical rules are put forward and sample numbers,concrete parameters anddecided.5. The general process and detailed points of simulation experiment is demonstratedby using finite element software ADINA on two kinds of shear wall.6. Acumulating the experiment of analysis in ADINA, the availability and reliabilityof simulation experiment for real structure experiment are discussed.7. Compare the result of simulation experiment and real experiment, analyze thepossibility of the replacement of simulation experiment for real experiment.8. Obzervation of the enhanced effect of combined shear wall on the general shearwall is done to direct engineering structure design.9. The function of hysteresis for concrete in ADINA is analyzed by establishingmodels uing two kinds of element. Some valuable conclusions are provided.10. The prospect of simulation experiment in civil engineering in the future ispreviewed.
