Numerical Simulation of super-cooled droplets impingement and thermal loads on a 3D Airfoil is studied in this thesis. By simplifying the physical condition, a two-phase flow model of air and super-cooled droplets is established. The commercial software GridgenV15 is used to generate the block-structured grid and the compressible RANS control equations are used to simulate the flow of air field. The software GridgenV15, the difference scheme of convective terms, the SIMPLE method based on pressure on collocated grid, the turbulent model, the wall function,the interface treatments for multi-block grid and the arithmetic of nonlinear equations that are used in simulation are introduced in this paper. By solving control equations of super-cooled droplets which are established by Euler method, the distribution of collection coefficient on airfoil is calculated. Based on the simulation of air and droplets, the thermal load of anti-icing system can be calculated by solving mass and energy conservation equations, and the influence of flight condition and weather condition on thermal load is studied.
