Slab column-shear wall structure, which has better seismic behavior, is endowed with many merits of slab-column structure, such as simple form, reduced height, convenient construction and so on. But theoretical research on dynamical response of slab column-shear wall structure is deficient. In this paper, the seismic responses of slab column-shear wall structure are studied through theoretical calculation and analysis. The main contents are as follows:(1)With finite element method, the dynamic characteristics of slab column-shear wall structure with and without spandrel beam and frame-shear wall structure are analyzed by changing span and story number. The results are compared among the natural vibration period, base shear and lateral displacement curve of the above three kinds of structures under horizontal earthquake action. It is pointed out that the lateral displacement curve of slab column-shear wall structure without spandrel beam subjected to the lateral forces belongs to the flexure type, while the lateral displacement curve of flat plate-column- shear wall structure with spandrel beam subjected to the lateral forces belongs to the flexure shearing type. Furthermore, the results demonstrate that the spandrel beam can improve the lateral stiffness of slab-column-shear wall structure greatly.(2)The IDARC program is used while conducting elastic-plastic time history analysis of slab column-shear wall structure. Moreover, to meet the need of modeling punching failure, this paper simulates the hysteretic curve of punching failure, redevelops the IDARC program and introduces the restoring force model of punching failure. Therefore, two different moment-rotation restoring force models of the end of equivalent beam are used for two different failure modes of the slab-column connections.(3)The elastic-plastic time history analysis of an 8-story slab column-shear wall structure is carried out considering two cases of with and without beams on top story. The differences of dynamic responses between the above two kinds of conditions are obtained and analyzed. It is found that the discrepancy of their results is small, which indicates that compared with the slab column-shear wall structure without beams on top story, the superiority of the slab column-shear wall structure with beams on top story is not apparent, no matter in maximum story lateral displacement or maximum story drift.
