On the basis of Micro Combustor in diameter 110mm with Vaporizing Tube, by applying Trapped Vortex concept which is a new compact and efficient method to stabilize flame, Trapped Vortex Micro-combustor with Vaporizing Tube was designed and experimentally researched.For researching performance of combustor in diversified cavity size, for-body and back-body could be changed, length of cavity is movable. Also, the experiment and testing system has been designed and manufactured specially to meet the testing need of the micro combustor.At the temperature and pressure in room, the performance experiment of micro combustion chamber have been carried out, including weak extinction characteristic, combustion efficiency and exit temperature distribution.The results show that, for this type of combustor, Air Fuel Ratio in cavity plays important role in combustion efficiency, when its value during 1.5~2.4, there is well combustion effect, the max combustion efficiency could get as high as 94%.Combustor exit's asymmetric ratio is different in radial direction, during 0.5~0.9. In addition, in right range, increasing velocity of main stream and subordinate stream is redound to enhance the combustor characteristic.Compared with traditional Micro-combustor, the efficiency of the Trapped Vortex Micro-combustor increased more than 10% in the same condition. But they have different performance on asymmetric ratio in annular direction , distributed ratio in radial direction and LBO.
