Research On Noises Control Of Diesel Engine Room

Diesel generating sets are a widely used kind of emergency electric supply units. While they are supplying electricity for people as the supplement to power system, they produce serious noise pollution in operation. With the enhancement of people's consciousness of environmental protection and demand of environmental quality, the noise pollution problem generated by diesel generating sets has been attached increasing importance. Therefore, it is of great significance to make researches on how to improve the acoustic pollution condition of the environment surrounding the diesel engine room when filling people's needs for electricity.This paper describes four major control measures of the noise of diesel generating sets in details on the basis of analysis on various noise sources of diesel generating sets in the diesel engine room. As application instance of engineering, it makes analyses on spectral noise characteristics for the noise pollution problem produced by the emergency diesel engine room of Woyang Telecommunication Office and on the surrounding environmental conditions. Then it proposes pointed comprehensive control measures through applications of sound absorption, sound isolation, noise elimination, vibration isolation, ventilation, and heat dissipation. After the control, the surrounding region of diesel engine room of Woyang Telecommunication Office meets the regional environmental noise emission standards (Category II) and the demands for ventilation and heat dissipation when the diesel generating sets are at work are satisfied. Furthermore, the paper can serve as a reference for the noise control of diesel-electric rooms of the same kind.
