In the face of the intense competition of global economy, using information technology to transform traditional industries and promoting the use of information technology in the manufacturing sector vigorously has become imperative.The digital ship alse has come up in the ship industry. Paper take the manufacturing industry in the ships profession models information management and paths search as an example, mainly discusses the method and process of exploitation about the ship models information management and paths search system, it is a part of the digital ship.In the modeling process on the ship models, the models information management plays a very important role in management of ship models. For this we have established a ship models information management information systems. Through the MIS, users can easily find the target models basic information in a relatively short period of time, and improve work efficiency. In the search of the ship's models system, it is need to message channels information of the ship. We find our needing path by the some arithmetic.We build three-dimensional models of ship by CATIA software. Based on the 3D modeling of models, we definite models' basic attribute which is the source of data. Using software interface provided by the CATIA, these attributes to BOM table in the form of documents. Then, manually or preparation procedures get database as a source of information management system. Through the preparation of procedures for the operation of these data, the purposes of the management about models' information will achieve. Moreover, through the message of the ship's channels information, we acquire every model's shortest distance and best path by calculation.
