At present, the exhaust-gas turbocharging technology has been one of the main methods which can improve power, torque and reduce oil consumption. The development of exhaust-gas turbocharging technology on gasoline engine was later than that of diesel engine, so there is still much problem to be resolved.In this paper, the naturally aspirated 465Q gasoline engine was redesigned to be a turbocharged gasoline engine. The problem in experimentation was analyzed and resolved by computer analog simulation.The simulation model of the 465Q was built and the simulation calculation was done. The calculated results were in agreement with the experimental ones. The temperature in experimentation was too high, so optimality calculation of the combustion advanced angles in every operating condition was done, and the exhaust temperature was reduced. By the optimality calculation of the compression ratio, the maximum pressure was reduced. Based on the software, the author calculated valve train cam profile and applied it to the model of 465Q gasoline. It made the oil consumption down. Built up the model of the cooling system, improved the water pump, and then reduced the temperature of the heated accessory. In order to improve the utilization ratio of the exhaust-gas energy, the configuration of the exhaust pipe system was redesigned.
