This paper analyzes the stability of the F-P intervene optical fiber hydrophone in mode splitting factor, and discusses the influence to the output theoretically and practically when the optical fiber of the hydrophone is under different stress. In theory, a calculating method is proposed, and it is validated in the experiments. But because of the limit of the experiment conditions and methods, a qualitative conclusion is obtained. In the optical fiber section of hydrophone, because of the stress outside and inside, the original simple single mode has split into two modes, causing the aberrance of the output wave, thus influence the stability of the hydrophone.First, the polarization characteristic of light is introduced, the mathematical form of polarization characteristic is presented, and the polarization characteristic of single mode optical fiber is discussed. Second, the principle of the F-P intervene optical fiber hydrophone is introduced systematically, and discuss the principles and functions of different parts of the system structure, and design the key parameters. Third, the out put of the splitting mode of the optical fiber is discussed, and the mathematical equation of the output for the stress in the optical fiber section is presented. At last, it is validated in experiments, and logically explained for the output wave form under different stress.
