With the development of electrical Industry in china, the load of distribution system is increasing. Economic benefit has become the focus of the conduct strategy. Especially the electric power corporation in the important juncture of reformation and strypped-down, must raise economic benefit further, raise the safe level of the whole electrical power net effectively, optimize the system operating condition, reduce accident, and raise the movement efficiency of the equipments. Reactive power optimization of power system is not only an effective means to ensure power system operation securely and economically, but also one of the most important methods to improve the voltage quality and reduce the transmission loss. In theory and practical application, the study to reactive power optimization of power system is of great significance, Main works as following:1.Reactive power optimization of power system is a large-scale nonlinear programming problem with a large number of variables and constraint conditions, and the control variables are made of continuous and discrete variables, so reactive power optimization problem is very complex. According to the characteristics of reactive power optimization, The Nonlinear Primal-Dual Interior Point Algorithm is proposed in this page, it realizes successive discretization of discrete variables in optimization process, solves discrete variables efficiently, and possesses stable convergence and numerical robustness of primal-dual algorithm, and effectively improves stable convergence and numerical speed of the algorithm.2. The mathematic model of reactive optimazition for sub-network is set forth in this thesis. Its objective function is made to reduce network loss of power system. The binding limit of it is mainly on the ratio of regulating transformer, node voltage and capacity of the reactive power compensation.3. A new technique and a new method of developing the reactive power optimization software, is proposed and studied, which uses Microsoft Visio2003 as development platform and VBA as secondary development tools. On basis of electrical connect graph drew, the generally used method of graphic modeling of power system, and the automatically identification of power network topology structure, are studied. Finally the practical graphic reactive power optimization software is developed, which is operated under Visio2003.This software provides a vivid and friendly man-machine interface. According to the test of a given system in He Nan the software has the conspicuous economic benefit and is easy to operate, which further proves the immense potentiality of the application of Microsoft Visio2003 in power system software. By developing this software, it indicates that the technique of secondary development for Visio offers a new effective method for the development of the graphic reactive power optimization software.
