As one of the most important electrical apparatus, high voltage circuit breaker is indispensable in power system, it is necessary to investigate high voltage circuit breaker. The interrupting performance of SF6 circuit breaker is an important criteria to judge the performance of circuit breaker, and combination calculation of mechanism dynamics, flow field and electrical field is involved during the research of interrupting performance. So the huge time consume is the bottleneck problem, and some means should be studied. Two methods are presented in this dissertation. One is to adopt couple technique of mechanism dynamics, flow field and electrical field in the numerical simulation of dielectric recovery property, and the other is to adopt parallel computation in calculation of couple field.In the couple calculation, the properties of output pressure and velocity of hydraulic actuator are regarded as the boundary conditions for calculating the flow field. The pressure of flow field, near the inlet of compressing chamber, is regarded as the reaction for the next step of numerical calculation of hydraulic actuator. And the couple calculation between hydraulic actuator and flow field in the arc quenching chamber is implemented.In the parallel computation, the COW(cluster of workstation) system is established. Base on the property of numerical calculation involved by numerical simulation of dielectric recovery property of high voltage SF6 circuit breaker, the problems such as the environment for parallel computation, the problem of data exchange, the influence of grid partition to parallel computation, load matching, load balance and the influence of imbalance load to the efficiency of calculation are studied. The research results present that the parallel computation system of two computers, which CPU is 3.0G and RAM is 1.0G, is appropriate for the parallel calculation for numerical simulation of no-load dielectric recovery property of SF6 circuit breaker.The dielectric recovery property of high voltage SF6 circuit breaker is determined by the distributions of flow field and electric strength during the interrupting process. In order to increase the precision of the dielectric recovery property and avoid the interpolation calculation, the grid exported by GAMBIT is secondary developed, according to the dynamic mesh technique of FLUENT, and is changed into triangle grid, so the gird can be obtained using by the FEM program for calculating the electric field. The dielectric recovery property is calculated by using the couple and parallel computation.The parameters can be displayed visually and clearly during the process of the couple and parallel computation, and the processes of parameters can be observed at any time.
