Wind-induced interference effects on tall buildings have become an important part in wind-resistant researches, as it is practically signified for directing and appraising tall buildingsdesigning. Previous investigations are mainly based on the wind tunnel experiment, andinterference effects in most investigations are represented as the interference factor (IF ,definedas a dimensionless ratio of the static wind load or dynamic response on a building in the presenceof the nearby buildings to that on an isolated building).Due to the massive workload ofexperiments and complexity of the problem, most previous investigations on this aspect are stillon the qualitative level and the research results are therefore can not been used in practicalprojects. In view of the high complexity in buildings and the massive experiment data, this thesispresents a new way-Aerodynamic Loads Database on Tall Buildings (ALDTB). In thepreliminary step of the structural design, engineers can easily access the complex interferenceeffects of tall buildings to get the wind loads and wind-induced response of a tall building bysubmitting the simple field and structure parameters to the ALDTB based friendly interfacethrough internet.Based on previous investigations, this thesis systematically researches the interferenceeffects of buildings which have different sections, with expectation of finding out the potentialinterference rules among the buildings with different sections. The rules and ALDTB arecombined to direct the wind-resistant designing of tall buildings. The main contributions and results of this thesis can be summarized as follows:1. The wind tunnel interference test of interfering buildings with six types of width-ratio,four types of height-ratio and seven types of sections are conducted in boundary layer ofexposure B. The correlation and regression methods are introduced by this study for thequantitative analysis of the distribution of interference factors. The good correlations of thedistributions of the interference factors between interfering buildings with corner-cut and squarecross section have been found out. Therefore, a series of relevant regression equations that reflectthe inherent complex relationships are proposed to simplify the problem of the multi-parameter wind-induced interference effect.2. ASP.NET and SQL Server 2000 are applied to construct the system frame. For webdesigning, easiness, friendliness and direct-viewing are the principles. About programming, database is visited through ADO.NET, public information and codes of operating database areputted in a class in order to avoid confusion and repeating operations. Simultaneously, thesystematic function is made to become a functional module; the structure of SQL is optimized toenhance the efficiency of web application.3. Finally, the advantages of ALDTB are summarized and the application prospects forpractical projects are described. Also disadvantages which need to be improved are also pointedout in the end.
