Joint is important for frame construction. The select of the joint modeldeduces directly the veracity of frame constucion calculation. So it is important forus to put farward semirigid model of joint. Much research work on the semirigidjoint has been done in the world. The recursive M-θmodel usually is attained fromscale model or full orthogonal tests. It will increase the need of carrying outexpensive and time consuming. This paper established a mechanics model by usingANSYS Probabilistic Design Analysis. A new M-θmodel of bolt end-plate steeljoint was proposed.First, the paper established a joint model by using ANSYS, and comparingwith the experimental results. The valid model was attained. Second, the sensitivityof the dimension factors to deflection of the cantilever was analyzed by applyingANSYS Probabilistic Design Analysis. The correlation of the parameters wasjustified. Third, the rational M-θmodel was put farward. Finnally, for user tocreating model easily, some developed tool bars were embedded in ANSYS.
