In nuclear power industry, more than half of the security accidents are caused by human mistakes. This paper is to analyze the basic rule of human factor events, come about countermeasures to avoid human factor accidents, and minimize human factor accidents of Qinshan Phase III effectively.The paper introduces the concept of human factor events analysis for nuclear power station, and highlights the importance of conducting it. Based on the present domestic nuclear power engineering practices, the author improves the foreign countries'common human factor root cause analysis method, thereby providing the effective method to root-cause the nuclear power station human factors events. The author deeply analyzes the root cause of typical Qinshan Phase III human factor events with the improved method, and points out that human factor events are usually induced by multiple factors.The author also proves the significance of the improved analyzing methods. The author collects and analyzes the world's human factor events, and introduces their root cause. On basis of the research, the author points out that it is the working practices, process files, training certifications and oral communications which deserve the main attention of nuclear power managements.The paper classifies the main reasons of human factor faults and gives the countermeasures. The author concludes that by strengthening safety culture construction, intensifying employee emotion control, deploying corresponding countermeasures, and advancing employees'safety sensitive and professional qualities, the human factor events could be reduced tremendously.
