Our country is in an earthquake-prone zone. Active vibration control for the high-level structure is an effective way to reduce the impact of the earthquake disaster. Tall-buildings often have high degree-of-freedom(DOF), and direct controller design will produces high cost, complicated design and greater calculation effort, meanwhile, it is not easy to realize a real-time system control. To simplify the controller design and reduce calculation effort, the model must be reduced. Control system model reduction method is different from the conventional model reduction way, because it is necessary to consider the effect of the control system, and is studied seldom at present. In this dissertation, a eight-storey building is used as research object, and research content including traditional model reduction, Linear control system model reduction method. Here, the non-linear control system model reduction method is also introduced. Main content are given as follows:1),Introducing the research status of traditional, control-related linear and non-linear model reduction methods.2),Introducing Matlab software and Simulink block, the realization procedure of the Optimal Control Algorithm. Establishing a 8-storey building model, and giving corresponding simulation control results.3),Discussing the model reduction process of the typically traditional model reduction ways, such as IRS, IIRS, time matching moment, regular perturbation, Routh approximation algorithms.4),Analyzing the model reduction process of the present model reduction methods used in control system.5),Taking the Guyan reduction, IRS, IIRS, Balancing reduction as well as cost analysis algorithms as examples, compiling 8-storey building model reduction programs. Based on analysis of above-mentioned model reduction algorithms, in the dissertation, a new evaluation index—control efficiency is suggested, and by the index, as well as reliability and controllability, all five model reduction methods are analyzed and compared.6),Introducing the reduction processes of nonlinear model control system, and based on expirical controllability/observation Gramians matrices, a 8-storey nonlinear building model is demonstrated.7),In the last, the review and outlook gives a summarization of this dissertation and personal opinion of future research direction.
