This paper base on the Xiao Lan pipe jacking project in Zhong Shan, Againstto the complex geology, environment around and pipes under ground, take thecomparing reference points with embedded depth, pipe diameter,geology,machineand technology, focus on studying the typical machine in Guangdong Province withits construction technology, feature of performance and construction principle.Taking the result of mechanics analysis, comparing common calculation formula,analytic calculation and numerical simulation methods, discuss fully andsystematically about the subsidiary stress to the surrounding earth,displacementand effecting to the surrounding environment induced by the pipe jackingconstruction,and present the corresponding control measure, this paper contains:1. Making a general about the domestic and foreign research on the Pipe Jackingand its effecting to the surrounding environment.and its development in GuangdongProvince. Focus on discussing typical pipe jacking machine in Guangdong Provincewith its construction technology, feature of performance and construction principle.Present the simulating of pipe jacking construction and the factor of its effectingto the surrounding environment.2. Comparing with the common calculation formula. As a result of consultingdomestic and foreign pipe force calculation formula, select several calculationformula for each different construction technology, compare to the distance of pipeand pipe diameter individually, and analyses the parameter effecting to the result.3. Taking the platform of Matlab7.0, based on the Mindlin analytic calculationof elastic mechanics, analyses subsidiary stress and displacement to thesurrounding earth in the same condition but different locations, and in additionanalyses stress and displacement to the surrounding earth in same location whenchanging the calculation parameter during the pipe jacking construction. Thenmarked difference of each main parameter can be obtained by comparing analyses.4. Introducing the feature and principle of three-dimension finite differenceprocedure (FLAC3D), and use the FLAC3D to simulate the three-dimension movement ofthe earth acted by pipe force and friction force between pipe and soil, and assumingthe earth as ideal elastic plastic body, then compare the simulating result to theactual measurement figure.5. Summing up the problem of each method and its advantage and feature, finallymake a conclusion.
