As a method of oxygen separation, PSA (pressure Swing Adsorption) technique has a obvious advantage in the small capacity production, which is low costing, energy-saving and automation production. The research work on PSA oxygen concentrator will be paid more and more attention on the miniaturization. In this paper, firstly the structure and design method of a PSA oxygen concentrator are presented, which is applied in a jet aerator system to supply oxygen. It is introduced in the paper that the principle of PSA, and the Langmuir isotherm theory is elaborated. The computational simulation of PSA processing is discussed, and VPSA circulation is also discussed in this paper. The influence is studied for changing operation process under the same control parameters. The layered oxygen concentrator is also described and a simulation study is conducted on a layered-bed pressure-swing-adsorption process with adsorbents that differ in their adsorption properties.0n the other hand, The paper also presents a of the sorption process and desorption process under constant pressure conditions using a finned adsorption reactor. The local thermodynamic equilibrium and energy balance is derived as governing equation in this paper. The model is used to analyze the effect of the metallic fins on the performance of adsorption reactor. It is presented that using the finned structure at sufficiently small intervals and reducing the contact resistance at the interface can improve sorption kinetics. The design of metal-adsorbent can improve the efficiency of the adsorption oxygen concentrator.
