In NaI(Tl) scintillation Gamma-ray spectrometer, many of the measurement time is long. Due to external factors such as temperature, and caused zero point and gain changes, resulting spectrum drift.In order to ensure that measurement equipment long stability, there is the need for stability spectrum.This paper introduces the commonly used by the built-in reference sources stability spectrum of NaI(Tl) scintillation Gamma-ray spectrometer stability spectrum principle,discussion on the built-in reference sources stability spectrum of inadequate, tracking foreign advanced to the stability spectrum, using LED instead of steady-reference source by stabilizing the LED optical spectrometer in which the peak, in order to achieve stabilization purposes.This study of LED instead of steady reference source, made the following main aspects :â‘ LED choices. Using Precision pulse generator, through experiments with the selection of LED matched photomultiplier tubes: In the same experimental conditions, use different colors of LED, through experiment, comparing these types of LED light and the photomultiplier tube spectral response of the match, and there were matching the best LED.â‘¡LED drive circuit design, LED pulse source pulse width, intensity, frequency, etc. can be easily changed. Hence an ideal reference peak LED achieve stability peak effect.â‘¢For LED and built-in reference sources 241Am energy resolution of the experiments, LED reference to be the peak energy resolution over the 241Am built-in reference sources in the energy resolution of better than 20 times.By studying the stability of the LED optical spectrometer in which the peaks reached stabilization effect. The device is user-friendly and can be effectively used to increase the measurement reference searching peak precision.
