Eletrocurtain accelerator is a low-energy electron accelerator which iswidely applied in radiation curing technology. In industrial application broadermaterials are cured, we need an eletrocurtain accelerator with a longer cathode.However, the increased deflection of cathode reduce the quality of radiationcuring. An electrocurtain accelerator which has a cathode with a cathode 500mmin length was made in RIAMB, it has a longitudinal uniformity of beam currentbetter than±10%. But the longitudinal distribution of beam current ofelectrocurtain accelerator with alonger cathode was not researched. This paperdiscuss the influence of deflection on the longitudinal distribution of beamcurrent.We analyze that how the deflection of cathode influences the electric field,the foci of grid gap and the density of electron emission which result in thechange of longitudinal distribution of electron beam current.In order to obtain the best result, we research the CST software includingarithmetic, mesh parameters settings, electron source parameters settings andrun parameters settings and so on.We simulate the whole longitudinal distribution of electron beam currentand analyze the result. We find that the quantity of electron which fall intitanium foil doesn't monotonically decrease.We try to improve the longitudinal distribution of electron beam currentby the change of grid voltage and focus shape. So we simulate the longitudinaldistribution of electron beam current in different grid voltage and differentfocus shape and compare these results. In the end we get the conclusion that it is impossiblethat we want to improve the longitudinal uniformity of electronbeam current and the quantity of electrons through titanium foil only by thechange of grid voltage, and we know how change the focus shape. It help theresearch of the electrocurtain accelerator with a long cathode for the future.
