In post-tensioned prestressed concrete structures, anchorage zones are suchregions through which prestress is introduced into structures, so it is very important tomake it safe by appropriate design. Study on the design of anchorage zone is done inthe paper. An integrated design method is set up in this paper. Six kinds of anchoragezone have been analyzed in this paper and based on the analyze, the failure modes aregiven and design method is introduced including the calculation of reinforcement anddetailing. For local zone of basic plate, comparative analyze is given between codes andstandards of China and abroad. Anchorage zones of Closely spaced anchorages areanalyzed with FEM, through which the determination method of closely spacedanchorages and the diffusion angle is given. As for local zone of special plate, the importance and necessity of the acceptancetest of anchorage devices is discussed through calculation. And based on the analyzeof acceptance test standards of U.S. and Europe, advice of acceptance test standardswhich is suitable for Chinese needs is given. As for general zone design, the stress distribution is analyze through FEMcalculation, based on which the reinforcement calculation methods are given bystrut-tie-model and beam analogy model. The anti-splitting reinforcement is also discussed in the paper including thequantity and the minimum curvature based on local bearing capacity. Finally, six kinds of anchorage zones are discussed including the stressdistribution, failure modes, based on which the reinforcement is given includingquantity and detailing.
