Statistics show that fatigue fracture occupies 60-90 percent in total mechanic destroy events. It shows that fatigue damage is the common forms among total mechanic destroy. Fatigue failure must be considered to the machinery and structures which is working under cyclic loading. It is intensively important in engineering field that predict the fatigue life of machinery and structures. Tank is the primary weapon equiprnent and main attack force of armoring army. Failures of tank's accessory often occur because the serve condition of tank is very bad. Tank's gear-driven box connects engine and transmission system, it's a pivotal part of tank's gearing. The odds of gear's breakage of the gear-driven box are higher than the other parts. The gears of tank's transmission system are all work under complex loading. It can be found that fatigue fracture is the primary failure form. The gear-driven box will be destroyed by the fracted gear. The failure will affect the normal drill and will bring the loss of economy. It should be done that make a correct kinetic analysis about the tank's gearing based on the bad serve condition of tank. It can be hold about the gear's distortion under the loading. It also can be hold about the destroy rule of gear. Its fatigue life can be predicted. These are very important for tank gearing. The result is necessary for the gear of tank gearing to make cost-effective decision regarding inspection, repair, and maintenance. This thesis predicts the fatigue life for the gear wheel of 59 kind tank's gear-driven box. It is adopted about the cumulative fatigue damage approach. According to the serve condition of tank, the load spectrum of gear is determined. The gear model for finite element analysis is created. Miner's fatigue cumulative damage theory and linear S-N curves are used to evaluate the fatigue damage and fatigue life prediction for gear wheel. A suitable time space can be confirmed for gear repair termly.
