The Application Of New Type Enhanced Coagulation In Water Treatment

Along with the continuously raise of the river pollution and drinking water standard, the conventional water treatment to the decontamination of the river water can't satisfy present condition enough.This article puts forword a new idea to investigation this problem,by adding a new kind,high performance and low-cost ino mineralrganic mineral coagulant to enhance the effect of the conventional water treatment,especially in the coagutation part and filtration part.In the jar test part, four material was chosen combine PAC to enhance conventional coagution,they are new type inorganic mineral coagulant,PAM,silicon aerogel and powdered activated carbon.The test shows that new type inorganic mineral coagulant is the best ehhanced coagulant both on the removing COD_Mn and turbidity and lowest cost of producing clean water.In this article, the best dosage is 30mg/L.The test also shows that through adding enhanced coagulant, the dosage of PAC can be reduced.It means that the cost of produced water can be reduced.The third part of jar test is foucused on the second coagulation.In the case of unideal effect of traditional coagulation,by the second coagulation can also enhance coagulate.The continuous filtration test based on the high performance fiber filtration,to fine the best enhancing method.In the first part of test,we fill the new type inorganic mineral coagulant into fiber,that in the course of filtration,filtratmg and adsorption can effect at the same time. Test shows that when the dosage of new type inorganic mineral coagulant is 10mg/L,the quality of produced water is the best,and the effect is better than the water filtrated by unfill with new type inorganic mineral coagulant obviously.When fill the same dosage of powdered activated carbon into the filtrater medium,the effect is better than filled with new type inorganic mineral coagulant,but there is just tittle difference.The quality of filter dffluent is related with the quality of source water,so the second part of continuous filtration test is focused on the second micro filtration.The test shows that when the dosage of PAC is 2.5mg/L,the turbidity of filter dffluent can reached almost 0.1NTU.Compared with the pretreatment and advanced treatment,the outstanding advantages of the enhanced conventional process were less capital investment and no need of new established water treatment facilities.For the existing water plants in the treatment of micropolluted source water,ehhance conventional process was an effective way to improve the drinking water quality.
