With the development of the modern science and industrial technology, air cleaning technology is being more and more widely used. Whether a clean room, as the main of the air cleaning technology, can achieve the required cleanness, many factors shall be considered, and the air distribution in the clean room is a notable influence factor. The appropriate air distribution can made the air flowing in definite direction and can avoid disorder and eddy. The air flow distribution can be classified in unidirectional flow and non-unidirectional flow; the unidirectional flow also can be classified in vertical and horizontal flow. When the classification of the air cleanness is required from 1st class to 5th class, the unidirectional air distribution shall be used. When from 6th class to 9th class, the non-unidirectional air distribution shall be used. When a vertical unidirectional flowing clean room with traditional ceiling inlets and grid floor outlets is used, the cleaning affection is the best, and it's classification can arrive to the highest. However, the structure of the ceiling and the floor is more complicated and expensive. When the vertical unidirectional flowing clean room with inlets of the fan filter unit and outlets at the bottom of two sides of wall is used, not only the seal of clean room's ceiling can be simplified, but also the area of air handle unit room and the size of inlet and outlet pipes can be reduced, so the first investment and the operation cost could be saved. But when we can not set the outlets in two side of wall according to technical requirement in design of air cleaning room, we can only set the outlets at the bottom of one side of wall, unidirectional flow cleaning room with the one side air return appears. How about the air distribution in the vertical unidirectional flowing clean room with inlets of the fan filter unit and outlets at the bottom of one side of wall is used, how about the difference with traditional air distribution, will the air distribution can satisfy with the requirement of unidirectional air flow, the research and solution of these problem have more important academic value and engineering application value in the cleaning room design.Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) has been applied more and more widely, and the people get many results by using CFD in engineering of ventilation, air conditioning and air cleaning. We can use CFD in analyzing three-dimensional air flow distribution, find the initial rule, and provide gist to designing air cleaning room appropriately. Simulates and tests the air flow in this air cleaning room when outlet is set at one side, measures air flow velocity of representative section, and compares the testing results with the numerical calculation results to verify the accuracy and reliability. On the base, calculates the undistributed degree of velocity of the work area in the cleaning room by program, and evaluates the air flow distribution of that cleaning room and provides the gist to engineering design and application of the air cleaning room.
