With the development of telecommunications and computer technology,as a kind of important electronic component, multilayer chip inductors have been deeply researched and got extensive applications. From now on, the materials for chip inductors, applied on high frequency, are mainly the NiCuZn ferrites, but recently, some researchers have found that comparing to NiCuZn ferrites, MgCuZn ferrites have better magnetic and sintering properties and especially the lower cost,and are very suitable for multilayer chip inductors.For this reason, this dissertation presents a systematical study on the electrical and magnetic properties of the low temperature sintered MgCuZn ferrite and the effect of additions on it. In this dissertation, we used MgO,CuO,ZnO and Fe2O3 as the raw material, and prepared high initial permeability MgCuZn ferrites by adopting the solid-state reaction method, and did research on the law of additions, main ingredient and sintering temperature affecting the properties of MgCuZn ferrites by using the approaches of orthogonal experimental design, total divisor experimental design, and so on. In order to do further researches on these influences, we also observed the microcosmic structures of the ferrites, using the technology of XRD and SEM. The results were outlined herewith: The MgCuZn ferrites with Cu content of 5mol% have good magnetic and sintering properties; When adding 0.6wt% Bi2O3 and 0.10wt% MoO3 into the ferrite with the main ingredient of Mg0.4Cu0.1Zn0.5Fe2O4, we can get high sintering density (≥4.75 g/cm3), high initial permeability (1240), and high qulity fact (33.8, at the frequency of 100KHz) at a low sintering temperature of 1020℃. With more MoO3 added, the bulk density, the initial permeability, the qulity fact and the curie temperature all decreased a little.When keeping a high electromagnetic property, the sintering temperature of the MgCuZn ferrites we study in this dissertation is lower than that of MgCuZn ferrites with the same property reported by other dissertations. This kind of MgCuZn ferrite has a optimistic applying foreground.
