Manufacturing industry is the mainstay of a nation's economy, and that automobile industry is the pillar industry of manufacturing. With the rapid development of information technology and network technology, network manufacturing has been applied in practical production, which will initiate the tremendous reformation of manufacturing in our nation. ASP.NET is the inheritance and development of ASP. ASP(Application Service Provider) is a operation lease mode, it can help customers to carry out IT solution as soon as possible, offer the optimal technical solution and reduce the work complexity of deploying, managing and upgrading application. The ASP service platform of network manufacturing which integrates network manufacturing and ASP service forms an open and comprehensive platform and enhances the leap-forward development of manufacturing informatization.Combining with the project of SAIC motor engine process informatization and on the basis of studying on network manufacturing and ASP service, the paper discusses the relative theory of ASP platform. After comparing the features and similarities and differences of J2EE and Microsoft.NET, Microsoft.NET is chosen in the dissertation. It introduces B/S configuration of ASP service and studies on application of ASP platform on network manufacturing, then designs the network configuration based on B/S mode, analyzes the function of service platform, establishes the platform model, and several key techniques of ASP platform are discussed. At the same time, the paper designs the module configuration of motor engine's process system and analyzes its active modules, so develops the function of the modules of consumer, system administrator and resource supplier. In the end, the paper studies on the database flow of the system resource and main database table structure, and then discussing the whole security system. After analyzing the objective of the system's function and confirming the circumstance and configuration, a practical example is acted, and it has been applied in practical manufacturing which receives good effect. In the meanwhile, the paper also makes a deep analysis of the follow-up development of ASP and the prospects the later research on the issue.The paper is a beneficial attempt of the new informalization network mode on ASP.NET. The obtained results have theoretical and practical significance in promoting ASP technology research and accelerating the spread and application of ASP technology. In the meanwhile, it exploits a new way in process management informatilization of motor manufacturing, thus it has great practical value.
