Electric vehicle is a kind of transport tool with zero exhaust, which can remarkably reduce air pollution. The biggest obstacle in the way of using electric vehicle is to develop a kind of battery with characteristic of high-effective, clean and environment-friendly. As a kind of green energy researched and developed in recent years, Super Capacitor(SC) has been applied to car. Under current technology, SC can only bring limited energy and has a disadvantage of linear charge and discharge. There is necessity to manage SC equipped in car to improve performance of mileage. This thesis carries through research and design on Energy Monitoring System(EMS) for SC installed in CyberC3-0 driverless electric vehicle. The work can be divided into several parts as followed: Research on Electromagnetic Interference (EMI),scheme design, system realization and experiments.EMI in power system of CyberC3-0 DEV made control system can not work normally. To solve this problem, anti-EMI design was carried out about the power system, including optimization of power supply module and isolation of ground connection.Based on design of anti-EMI of power system, function demand of super capacitor EMS was analyzed. According to the analysis, some possible schemes were put forward. The best one would be determined through comparison with consideration of practical situation.The main part of this thesis is realization of EMS, including hardware and software design. To complete the mission of EMS, a block of print circuit board was made with controller of Freescale HCS12 single-chip. Some other interfaces were also integrated into the board, such as LCD display, CAN communication, sampling regulating circuit and so on. On the basis of hardware platform, software program was written under codewarrior development studio. Modularization program design mode was adopted. Software program system mainly includes five modules: data acquisition, SOC calculation, LCD display, CAN communication and data processing.In the end, four experiments were done to test the designed EMS. First, calibration experiment of sampling regulating circuit was to determine amplifier gain. second, EMI test proved that anti-EMI design for power system has obtained excellent effect. Third, charge and discharge experiment was carried out, and some characteristic data was acquired. At last, we did EMS system test, the result of SOC estimation was proved to be acceptable.
