The analysis on the cable network structure is different from rigid structure, the rigid structure is analyzed with known the structure shape, but there is no stiffness in flexible tension structure as no prestressing force and its shape is indefinite. The net cable structure needs prestressing force to form a certain shape and bear external loads. Under given boundary conditions, there are correlations between the shape and the distribution and dimensions of prestressing force in net cable structure. It is necessary to find initial equilibrium shape meeting boundary condition and prestressing distribution. It is the key techniques for cable net structure design.This paper focuses on the initial equilibrium state finding analysis of cable -net structure with known the cable-net structure with boundary constraints and Topology of structures. First, it presents the selection of Cable Member and description length of cable element rule. It set up the finite element model of net cable structure based on ANSYS Finite Element Software and analyzed the parameters influencing the structure. And then, aiming at the problem of shape finding analysis of cable net structure, an optimization model is constructed to solve the problem of initial equilibrium shape. The calculations example shows the effectiveness of the method. The method has great value and importance in engineering practice and analytical theory.
